TBIF Bonus: The BBAW Meme

I was planning to include this in today’s TBIF post, but decided to give it its own space instead, since responses are being collected in a Mr. Linky at the Book Blogger Appreciation Week blog. Besides, it’s not breaking any laws if I sometimes post twice in one day!

If you were a part of BBAW last year, please answer these simple questions on your blog and drop your link into Mister Linky so that others can learn all about BBAW!  Feel free to tag other bloggers to play along!

1)  What was the highlight (something that happened, a post, an activity, etc.) of BBAW for you last year?

Oh, I can’t pick just one! My favorite activity of the week was the interview swap, where two book bloggers were matched up to interview each other and post the interviews; that’s how I got to know Kathy from Bermudaonion. I won a couple of giveaways, too. However, the best part was undoubtedly all of the new book bloggers I found – and the ones who found me!

2)  What is one new blog you discovered during BBAW last year?

I’ll see your one, and raise you five – I listed six blogs as “BBAW Discoveries” in my Saturday Review that week:

And I’m happy to say they’re all still around and keeping up the good ol’ book blogging!

3)  What tips would you share to help others get the most out of their BBAW experience?

Make the rounds! If new names show up in your comments, visit their blogs and comment back. If a blog you know links to another that you don’t, go and check it out (and comment. if you’re so moved) – you might find a new favorite! Participate in contests and giveaways that appeal to you.

Also, dedicate at least a couple of your blog posts that week to BBAW themes. This is a great time to discover new blogs, but it’s also a fine opportunity to have them discover you – so show off your best!

There are additional questions for book bloggers who didn’t partake in BBAW 2008 – you can find those on the original post, which is linked above.

Also, if you’ve got the interest and the time, BBAW could use some behind-the-scenes help to get ready for the big event – click on that link to see how to get involved!

  1. Kathy (Bermudaonion) – I hadn't seen the post about the interviews when your comment came in – but now I'm signed up for one, too. Thanks for the heads-up, and I'm really glad they're doing this again!

  2. I loved the interviews too. That was my favorite activity last year. Thanks for listing me among the new blogs you discovered. I'm glad you're still reading.
