Ten on Tuesday 11-6: Ten Words To Describe You

The “official” Ten on Tuesday is back! This week’s prompt is one of those things that sounds pretty simple, but can turn out not to be:

Ten Words That Describe You

  1. Thoughtful
  2. Caring
  3. Curious
  4. Humorous
  5. Loyal
  6. Nerdy
  7. Practical
  8. Generous
  9. Introverted
  10. Petite

The thing about an exercise like this is that I find it hard to nail it down to ten – at first I can’t think of that many, and then it gets more complicated and I have to eliminate other adjectives. I also find that I think of a number of qualities that are true and yet contradictory, so I might leave them out. It’s tough to be reduced to just ten words. Besides, given my tendency toward long-windedness, I’m more of an essay-question person than a fill-in-the-blanks sort, I think.

Thanks once again to Yano for a fun challenge!

  1. Working Girl – My family is full of Aries people. My dad is March 23, his mother was March 28, and my mother and I were/are both March 29. My sister (a Scorpio, like my husband) hated the last week of March.

  2. We all think so much about the ‘I’s and the ‘me’s..but when we have to break it down to the elements, oh yeah its a challenge!!!How does one choose tags for oneself? It was so much easier tagging people when we were younger, wasn’t it? But also it was a different tag!

BTW about time I said Hi! got here from Nablopomo.

  3. Ana – Thanks for stopping by. I’ve been doing OK with the “daily posting” part of NaBloPoMo, but not so well with the reading part, so I’ll definitely check out your blog!

  4. it’s been a crazy week – primarily trying to get our 990 data completed – and i’ve not been visiting any blogs. but i like this list and think i’ll try posting a “Ten on Tuesday” on Thursday or Friday … 🙂 i think i’ll have some of the same words that you do.

  5. Alisonwonderland – I’ll look forward to reading your list. (And from one nonprofit-sector accountant to another – bet you’re glad to be done with the 990 till next year!)
